Mental Health Worker (MHW) – Behavioral Health

📍 Concord, NH | 💲$20/hour | 40 Hours Guaranteed | 13-Week Contract

New Hampshire Hospital, in partnership with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking compassionate and dependable Mental Health Workers (MHWs) to join a dedicated psychiatric care team in Concord, NH.

Available Shifts

  • First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

  • Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with patient admissions and orientation

  • Monitoring patient safety and behavior

  • Supporting hygiene and daily living activities

  • Maintaining a safe and clean therapeutic environment

  • Observing and documenting patient behaviors and conditions

  • Supporting patients during appointments and activities

  • Utilizing de-escalation and supportive communication techniques

  • Reinforcing individualized treatment plans

  • Communicating patient status changes to medical staff

  • Completing documentation and participating in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Active AHA BLS Certification REQUIRED at submission

  • Previous Mental Health or Psychiatric experience preferred

  • Experience working in behavioral health settings preferred

  • Ability to work in acute psychiatric care environments

  • Orientation will be completed on 1st shift for 4 weeks
