Position Responsibilities

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist, you will:

✔️ Perform clinical laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank, and other laboratory disciplines

✔️ Process and prepare patient specimens for testing

✔️ Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment

✔️ Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures

✔️ Review and verify laboratory results for accuracy

✔️ Identify and report abnormal or critical test results

✔️ Maintain laboratory records and documentation

✔️ Ensure compliance with HIPAA, VA policies, and laboratory standards

✔️ Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals


Qualifications

✅ Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related science field

✅ Current MLS, MT, ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification preferred

✅ Experience performing laboratory testing in a hospital, medical center, or clinical laboratory setting

✅ Knowledge of laboratory quality control and quality assurance procedures

✅ Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
